Max

In Loving Memory of

MAX

May the stars carry your sadness away, may the flower fill your heart with beauty, may hope forever wipe away your tears, and above all Max, may silence make you strong.

Max

March 16, 2002 – April 15, 2011

To Max, We all miss you and love you here at  Sugarland, the staff, Mack, Robyn, all the Volunteers and all of your Friends.  You were one special boy.  You only had three legs but it didn’t stop you from doing things that you loved to do like playing in the snow and playing ball.  Max, we all loved you and cared for you.  Now it is your turn to go into the light and see the rest of your Pack.

Max, you  were one of Dee Dee’s special dogs, she loved you and cared for you since the first day you arrived at Sugarland, special buddies from the very beginning.  There was a special loving bond between Max and Dee Dee.  When Dee Dee arrived each day, your beautiful brown eyes looked at her and said, “……Dee Dee take me outside, it’s snowing or come and play ball with me.”  Max, how you could howl at Dee Dee and no one else, it was so beautiful.  And now our little man, you are no longer in pain.  The Spirits of the Earth are with you.

Max, I know you are with me all the time, sometimes “Shy Girl” has the same emotions you did and I  see you in her.  Max, I love you and always will, you are in my Soul and in my Heart.  We will be together someday my little man, Max, my friend.  It was so hard for me to say good-bye but I know it’s not over and I will see you again playing and being my little man, Max.  As we say in Native American:

“You touched me, with your kindness and love, so enchanted.  Your soft paws are kind, your eyes glow with life.  I’m glad you touched me, you’re part of me now.  Max, rest in peace my friend.”
